Next week is the weekend everyone’s been waiting for. The convention which has drawn participants from around the nation as well as around the world is coming to town. A-Kon 2012. For those who are not fully aware of this event, you’re first question may be, what is A-Kon? Well first let me say, I’m not speaking of Akon the singer, but rather, A-Kon the oldest consistently running, anime-base convention in the United States. This year marks their 23rd year in celebration, hosting anime fans and guest. A-Kon also offers other items of interest ranging from gaming, to independent film, all in the quest to provide the best experience for their fans and to bring the most engaging, and educational, entertainment to the anime community.
